The 24-hour Coverthon will stream live on the Special Event Channel.On November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving here in the states, I’ll be holding the 6th Annual Coverville Coverthon: 24 hours of Cover songs streamed live!
The guests schedule will be updated here shortly, but expect to see (hear) Scott Johnson, Nicole Spag, Dan Klass, Tim & Michele from Five Hundy by Midnight, Sebastiaan, and a host of other podcast luminaries here chatting and programming their own sets of covers as we go.
Like the pledge drives you see and hear on public TV and radio, this will be a donation drive. I’m doing this to raise money both for Coverville, and for Alzheimer’s Research. Any donations received on this page before or during the event will be split down the middle, with half going to Coverville operating costs (show content, bandwidth, etc.), and the other half donated to the Alzheimer’s Research Foundation. We picked Alzheimer’s because of Tina’s grandmother, who suffered from the disease and passed away a few years ago. We both thought it was a good idea to make this event not entirely about Coverville, and to raise money for a really important charity.
You can pledge any amount using the button below. If you’d like to sponsor an hour of the show, your business or service will be mentioned several times during the hour, and a logo or photo can be placed onscreen in the live stream. You can sponsor an hour with a donation of $150 or more, and (on a first come, first served basis) you can even pick which hour you sponsor, if you have a favorite guest for example.
And there’ll be giveaways! Prizes every hour, in fact, and all you have to do to be eligible is tweet about the Coverthon using the hashtag #coverthon! Every hour, we’ll pull a name at random, and that person will win prizes. We’ll tie it in with trivia with our guests, so your prize packs can grow with every question they get right! And if you make a donation of $50 or more, you’ll automatically get a digital download of your choice of ANY Andrew Allen cover album. If you donate $100 or more, you’ll get digital downloads of ALL FOUR of Andrew’s albums!
