S04 E15: Chill Your Nuggets

Tonight we are going to visit an East Coast brew, Tröegs Nugget Nectar. This is a seasonal beer, available January-March. Thanks to Keith, we have a supply on hand for this summer show. Although they were canned in January of 2016….

Nugget Nectar is a hoppy Imperial Amber Ale. Hoppy like an IPA, but with a strong malt backbone.

To The Pint

Brewery: Tröegs
Beer: Nugget Nectar
Style: Imperial Amber Ale
ABV: 7.5%

Keith - Feels like it has lost 30% of it's hoppiness, but still a good amber ale. - 7/10
Jeremy - Lots of hop aroma, but not as much hop taste as I remember for this beer. Seems 18 months in a can made a difference. Still quite good though. - 7/10
Gary - Can't fault the beer for being unintentionally aged. It's a great beer. - 10/10

Total: 8/10

Pint Taken

Beer in France. Gary's take: It is tough to find good beer in France. If you are in Paris, check Brewberry for craft beer. On the other hand, there was a lot of good beer in England.RED announces an Android based phone, made of titanium, coming Q1 2018. For a cool $1600.

Half Pints

Jeremy - Cockpit Confidential, a book written by a pilot with all about the questions you always wanted to ask.
Gary - Radiohead OK Computer, remasteredKeith - Anker wireless earbuds. Good quality, long life. And pick number two, Unbound wireless speaker. Good sound, water resistant.
