Episode 103: Ignoring The Code - This week Marcus and Chris tackle movie ratings. Marcus takes a movie ratings quiz. Some of the answers are pretty shocking. Next, the boys try to answer some questions about the movie ratings business. Why do we have the system we have? Are we better off than we were when movies were simply pass/fail? Are ratings outdated? Will studios sex up comics just to get an R rating? The MPAA was created to escape government censorship, but they've been traditionally prudish and backward about sex and language while violence thrives. The Classification and Ratings System is pretty hypocritical and caters to big studios. Go watch This Film Not Yet Rated. Meanwhile, the North Koreans are really into traitorous flowers.
