Phew!
It has been a crazy several months...
Things around here are returning to a semblance of normalcy. The holidays, with all of their attendant chaos and mayhem, have come and gone for another year. At the same time, Iolite has transitioned into a new job which includes an increased amount of travel, and we are learning what this means to our day-to-day life and scheduling.
Mixed in there was a sudden need to move the hosting server (where all of the VTW Productions show downloads and community forums are housed) to a new service provider. This turned out to be no small undertaking, and many interesting "learning experiences" occurred during this change. The good news is that all of the data is now housed on a high capacity server with unlimited bandwidth use and unlimited disk storage, for a very reasonable price.
The price of the server was so reasonable, in fact, that I set one up for myself as well (it is a great time to be a Geek, I tell ya). So, once the VTW transition was safely complete, I took some of the things I had learned, kept the momentum going, and dusted off the Alpha Geek Radio site. I have tried to make it more than just the stub site it had been before, and am still working on it. Please take a look around and see what you think. Let me know if you find any bugs or other issues.
Now that things are back to what we laughingly call "normal" we should be back to our regular weekly schedule for Casually Hardcore, starting this Sunday the 10th.
Additionally, I have some things in the pipeline for Alpha Geek Interviews. Watch this space for announcements. As always, requests for specific interviewees are welcome.
Events for Alpha Geek Radio are forming up as well. So far we are looking at Phoenix Comicon, Nerdtacular 2013, San Diego w00tstock (assuming they announce one for this year), and DEFCON 2013. We will keep you posted.
More later. Thanks for listening!
Todd
